Common Panic Attack Symptoms

During a panic attack an individual experiences a few or many of the panic attack symptoms. If the sufferer experiences four or less of these symptoms that means the attack was not severe but if he suffers from more than four of the symptoms that means the attack was severe.

According to Panic Away some of the common symptoms associated with panic attacks are: increased heart beat, trembling, sweating, a sense of choking in the throat also called globus hystericus, pain in chest, shortness of breath or a nauseated feeling. Other symptoms may include stomach ache, headaches, light headedness, dizziness, feeing dreamy, feeling of numbness throughout or in some parts of the body, hot or cold flashes, sensation of burning, sense of losing control, pain in neck or shoulders, etc.

If a person suffers from one or more of these symptoms then it is most likely that he is suffering from panic attack. Although some people do have an anxiety disorder, they may never experience any sort of panic attack. The reason why these symptoms are caused depends upon a number or reasons. These symptoms could result from biological changes in the human body.

One should not be afraid of panic attacks as they are harmless. They are incapable of causing any sort of harm to the individual. However, due to the symptoms associated with the panic attacks a person may feel tired and uncomfortable. Many people complain about getting tired and achy muscles after suffering from panic attack this is due to the over working of the body during the attack symptoms.

The panic attack may result in muscular tension, which may lead to numbness of face, cheeks, jaws or other parts of the body, but this is due to a malfunctioning of the nervous system nothing else. The symptoms associated with panic attacks are just symptoms not an indication of other conditions so they should be completely ignored. These symptoms cannot cause you any sort of harm. Although when these symptoms occur, they can be very scary but they are actually harmless.

These symptoms can be caused by an imbalance in the organ called Amygdala, which is responsible for controlling anxiety response. The only way to get through a panic attack is to ignore these symptoms, as they will not last forever. Mostly young adults are affected by the panic attack symptoms. Other people who are affected by these symptoms are pregnant women, old people and children.

If a person takes a positive approach and ignores the symptoms associated with panic attacks and does not take the conditions like; shortness of breath or chest pain too seriously then he can easily reduce or eliminate the symptoms associated with these attacks. The reason why these symptoms affect an individual repeatedly is that people take those symptoms seriously they associate heart attack with the feeling of pain in their chest but this is not true at all. The panic attacks cause these symptoms to occur and if a person is able to take control, he will not be affected by these symptoms at all.
