Major Causes of Panic Attacks

Panic attacks may result in a sudden onset of intensely overwhelming physical feelings and be accompanied by anxiety and fear. A person suffering from a panic attack may suffer from symptoms such as; sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, increased heart beat, headache, stomachache, etc. Still there is not much evidence that indicates what the major causes of panic attacks are.

As mentioned in Panic Away, there have been various studies conducted to determine the major causes associated with panic attacks but not much solid evidence has been found in this matter. The research conducted in this matter does not answer the question of what causes these panic attacks. The study reveals there are many factors that may trigger an attack. These factors range from biological to environmental factors. Many studies and research papers explain that most of the panic attacks are inherited just like the color of a person’s hair or eyes may be inherited within a family.

Besides family inheritance, another major cause that can lead to panic attacks is the biological factor. This is because any sort of biological abnormalities may result in improper functioning of the human brain that eventually may result in panic attacks. Posttraumatic stress syndrome and diseases like schizophrenia are considered psychotic disorders and these can cause the panic attacks to happen.

Although these attacks do not cause any real damage to an individual, they may result in improper functioning of a human body. Therefore, it is very important to make sure that these attacks are not triggered. Every single attempt should be made in order to stop these attacks from escalating further. Otherwise, what happens is that as the panic attack is triggered, it results in a feeling of anxiety and restlessness and when the episode of a particular attack is finished, it causes the sufferer to feel extremely tired.

One of the major causes associated with panic attacks is any part of a person’s life that is overwhelmed with stress. For instance, a person suffering from death of his loved ones or from losing a job or the loss of any object or person which was close to him in all such situations the mental and physical capabilities of an individual do not remain strong enough to cope and these situations may result in triggering panic attacks.

Researches show that people suffering from addictions like alcohol abuse or drug addiction or people who are on the verge of withdrawing from such addictions may also be the sufferers of panic attacks because the environment in which they are living causes these attacks to trigger. There are factors that can trigger these attacks, but there has been no identification of one basic factor as the cause of the symptoms associated with the attack.

As there is no evidence or proof regarding causes of panic attacks it is better to find help and try to find the right cure to treat panic attacks. The right kind of treatment and therapy can help a person release the anxiety and pressure during an attack.
